What to expect if I photograph your wedding.
This is a part two to last week's post about what happens before the wedding. This week I am focusing on what it is like for me to photograph your wedding. Sit back and enjoy.
Starting the day before, we will go through any last minute changes. Nothing big though. I maintain contact with my couples throughout the entire process. So I would have known of any major changes happened. Then I will ask my couple to get all of the things for their flat lay in one spot for the next day. Preparing is key for a seamless wedding day. At this point we have already discussed where and when all of the portraits would be taken. Everyone knows where and when to go. Then we get the detail shots of the venue. Any details that I see. Decorations flowers guests. Things like that.
Now we get to the fun part. The day of the wedding, I will usually start with the bride first. Her getting ready shots usually take the most time. Starting with the flat lay images. These will be the beginnings of the detail shots. Then moving over to the dress. After these are completed while the bride gets into the dress. I will take care of all the shots for the groom. The order will be in the same way as with the bride. Details first then the portraits. Always including some of those details like putting on cuff links. Or a watch. After the Grooms getting ready shots we then go back to the Bride. Finish her getting ready shots. Things like garter earrings come to mind.
Then we come back to where the ceremony will be held. Shots of the Groom waiting for his Bride, Groomsmen and officiate. Then we turn our attention to the Bride coming down the aisle. Getting the reaction shots of the Bride coming in. A few shots throughout the ceremony and of course the first kiss. Walking out as a couple.
Now things have picked up a bit. I only have a few moments to get your portraits. Now we bring out that shot list I talked about last week. After getting those portraits. We can go in and cover the reception. Shots of your entrance and first dance then followed by everyone else. A couple of shots later. That's a wrap. Your beautiful portraits will be delivered soon.
That's it for this week. Make sire to follow me on the socials and bookmark this page. Wouldn't want to miss anything.
